Is there a way to stop strategic spell spam?

Sorc and warlord seem to have infinite casting points, disjuncting one of my spells, casting 3 combat spells, and casting Dread Siege (strategic spell) and reinforcing it to 200 IN ONE SINGLE ♥♥♥♥ING TURN HOW DOES THAT EVEN♥♥♥♥INGMAKESENSETHEREISNOWAYTOBEATTH. Sorc can somehow cast resurrect, and has even stolen Arvik and used him against me in a match before he could resurrect himself. Sorc often has Horrors before i even research gargantuan spell, and the banish spell seems to never work. Sorc has dragons and beholders? Is there any way to counter this or do i just have to deal with it? There is a city to the northeast that you can reconstruct with starting settler. Things i know: Frostling shamans are good for tigrans because of damage bonus. I chose to ally with melenis, but i think the loyalist option has you kill both melenis and werlac. That means wiping out Melenis right? since she wants to destroy the world + the shadowgate. will proceed to stay loyal to the queen then. I chose shadowborn myself in map 2 and then killed werlac anyway. I don't think choosing shadowborn or grey guard at the end of map 2 makes any difference in the story, i guess they just let you try whichever spec you want. Both helping melenis or werlac will probably lead to the end of the world. I think the canonical ending is that in which you side with frostlings and stay a loyalist to the queen.
